Barbara Chapron
Lawyer – Associate - Paris Bar November 2017
An Ooslo associate, Barbara took part in the adventure of creating the firm. Previously, she worked for almost six years in the Corporate-M&A department of the Parisian business firm, Coblence.
She works in the areas of corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, investment capital and on the implementation of management packages.
During her professional career, Barbara has had the opportunity to carry out numerous operations, both French and international, involving fundraising, external growth, restructuring, sales and equity investments. She works both on the investor side and on the side of companies and managers. Barbara also provides day-to-day legal monitoring (corporate) of companies and groups of companies.
Ooslo@Barbara, what do you like about this job?
I particularly appreciate the demands and technical nature of the profession of business lawyer.
Corporate law in particular requires method and great rigor. To successfully carry out transactional operations (M&A or Private Equity), this certainly requires having technical expertise but also being able to lead a process with energy, subtlety and diplomacy: all aspects of the profession that fascinate me.

The constant search for solutions to problems that are themselves constantly evolving makes my days stimulating and unique.
​
Team spirit and solidarity are also aspects of being a business lawyer that I especially appreciate.
It is with this mindset that I'm taking part in the Ooslo adventure, attracted by the dynamic, unique and stimulating nature of the project and the members who contribute to it.
By heavily involving its associates in the project creation process, Ooslo is keeping its promise to create a strong, inclusive team spirit, advocating simplicity and efficiency, and seeking to promote collective intelligence to better serve its customers.
